Ready for Skiing (In Progress)

This in-progress project expands on the Acorn Valley giraffe mascot to create educational illustrations that help reduce anxiety for beginner skiers. Using the giraffe character as a friendly guide, the project introduces basic skiing concepts while offering emotional reassurance to first-time learners, including children with ASD and their parents. The mascot-driven approach emphasizes clarity, approachability, and gentle pacing, helping users feel supported rather than overwhelmed. Visual explanations focus on encouragement and familiarity, using character interaction to make the learning experience feel safe and inclusive. This project highlights my interest in inclusive design and demonstrates how character-based illustration can function beyond branding, serving as a tool for education, accessibility, and emotional support.
